Extensive investigations have revealed that RJ possesses broad spectrum of therapeutic effects, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antitumor, anti-aging, antibacterial activities. Distinctive among bee products, exhibits significantly higher water relatively lower sugar content. It is characterized by substantial protein content, making it valuable source this essential macronutrient. Moreover, contains diverse array bioactive substances, such as lipids, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, organic acids, minerals, vitamins, enzymes, hormones. This review aims provide an overview current research on components present their associated qualities. According existing literature, these substances hold great potential alternative approaches enhancing human health. Notably, emphasizes anti-inflammatory properties RJ, particularly relation inflammatory diseases, multiple sclerosis (MS), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), bowel diseases (IBD). Furthermore, we delve into antitumor antioxidant activities aiming deepen our understanding biological functions. By shedding light multifaceted benefits seeks encourage utilization inspire further investigation field.

In Vitro Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Three Fatty Acids from Royal Jelly

Trans-10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-H2DA), 10-hydroxydecanoic acid (10-HDAA), and sebacic acid (SEA) are the three major fatty acids in royal jelly (RJ). Previous studies have revealed several pharmacological activities of 10-H2DA and 10-HDAA, although the anti-inflammatory effects and underlying mechanisms by which SEA acts are poorly understood. In the present study, we evaluated and compare...

Novel Insights into miRNA in Lung and Heart Inflammatory Diseases

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are noncoding regulatory sequences that govern posttranscriptional inhibition of genes through binding mainly at regulatory regions. The regulatory mechanism of miRNAs are influenced by complex crosstalk among single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within miRNA seed region and epigenetic modifications. Circulating miRNAs exhibit potential characteristics as stable biomarker. ...

Antioxidant properties of enzymatic hydrolysates from royal jelly.

Enzymatic hydrolysates were prepared from royal jelly using three enzymes (pepsin, trypsin, and papain), and their antioxidative properties were evaluated. The yield of these hydrolysates was very high, about 20-26% on a raw weight basis. In comparison with the antioxidative activities of water extract and alkaline extract of royal jelly, the antioxidative activities and scavenging activities a...
